The benefits of membership in the American College of Phlebology are numerous.
From publications to newsletters, networking to coding and reimbursement advice, meetings to online videos, your membership in the ACP is a valuable resource for anyone in the field of phlebology. In 2008, the ACP offered its first members-only Phlebology Review Course which proved to be an excellent resource for physicians preparing for the board certification exam in phlebology.

Members who have questions, inquiries and problems getting reimbursed can contact the ACP to get in touch with our coding and reimbursement committee volunteers and get help with a variety of issues. Letters, packets and other documents are available to members to assist in meeting their coding and reimbursement needs.
The ACP is a great resource for your phlebology practice. We have documents, articles and member volunteers who can provide support and advice to your practice.
The ACP’s website is an information portal for members, non-members, and patients.
The public area of our website contains a Patient Information section including a listing of ACP members (optional) in the Physician and Provider directory. We also provide basic information to patients about venous conditions and treatments. Non-member healthcare professionals are able to view the organization’s history, information about phlebology, and the benefits of membership. We also have areas to promote many of the education, research grants & awards, and events of the ACP and ACPF.
Members of ACP can access additional information in the Member Center, a members-only online resource center providing access to members-only resources such as classified listings, the job board, publications and articles, and more. By logging in, you are able to customize how your information is posted in our Online Directory, and purchase publications, patient education materials, and event registrations at the member rate.
VeinLine E-Newsletter
The VeinLine Newsletter is the official newsletter of the ACP and is distributed to all members via email on a quarterly basis. Topics include case studies, upcoming events, new products, procedure information, as well as regular columns about coding and reimbursement, practice management, and information from the American Board of Phlebology and the ACP Foundation, and more.
Phlebology Journal
Phlebology, published six times a year by The Royal Society of Medicine Press, is mailed to ACP members as a benefit of membership. This peer-reviewed journal publishes the results of high-quality studies and reviews on any factor that may influence the outcome of patients with venous disease. Readers benefit from authoritative information about all aspects of diseases of the veins and the subject matter is of interest to all phlebology professionals from medical practitioners to nursing staff, allied professionals, and scientists.
Venous Digest
The Venous Digest is a monthly e-journal dedicated to improving the care of patients with venous problems. Its content consists of abstracts of current literature with comments on the publications by well-recognized authorities. The text is accompanied by book reviews, meeting announcements, and occasional editorials.
The editors of Venous Digest scan the current world literature in order to identify those articles which will interest subscribers. They identify experts, solicit their opinions on the research, and combine and collate this material into each monthly issue. The result is an accumulation of a broad range of information related to research, diagnosis, and the care of venous disease.
The American College of Phlebology publishes patient education materials that physicians can use to educate their patients. ACP Members can purchase these materials at a discounted rate.

Fundamentals of Phlebology (2nd Edition) Textbook
Fundamentals of Phlebology: Venous Disease for Clinicians is a compilation by experts in the field with seventeen informative chapters on the latest phlebological techniques. This medically-oriented, soft cover textbook was compiled and edited by Dr. Helane Fronek, Past President of the American College of Phlebology. It is a "must have" for any phlebology office and a "must read" for those involved with patient care: physicians, nurses, ultrasonographers, and other allied healthcare professionals. ACP Congress
The ACP’s Annual Congress is the premier educational forum for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of venous disease. Currently in its 22nd year, the Congress is an excellent opportunity to join leaders in the field of phlebology for abstract sessions, workshops, live patient demonstrations, and special interest sections for ultrasonography and nursing.ACP Members are able to register for the Congress at a discounted rate.
ACP Symposia
ACP symposia provide targeted education on a number of topics in an intimate, hands-on setting. ACP offers regional and topical symposia that vary each year.

Phlebology Review Course
Each year, the ACP offers a two-day intensive review of the essentials of phlebology available only to members. Didactic lectures cover venous anatomy, pathophysiology, and diagnosis; and address, in detail, the treatment of venous and related diseases. A substantial amount of time is set aside for informal question and answer sessions. The program is delivered by experienced faculty members who have distinguished themselves as exceptional educators. The course serves as an excellent review for those physicians who wish to sit for the American Board of Phlebology board certification exam as well as for those who wish to review the current concepts in the practice of phlebology.
Distance Learning
Distance learning is offered through a variety of media including an online library where members can access content from past meetings, symposia, and review courses; a video library (coming soon); and an abstracts database (coming soon).
Networking Opportunities with vendors, colleagues and support staff
Membership in the ACP provides you with access to those individuals impacting the field of phlebology. Union Internationale de Phlebologie (UIP) : ACP is a member of the UIP, a trade association, allowing all ACP members to attend UIP events at the member rate.
